RYA Sailing Courses in Cornwall

Welcome to our RYA Training Centre, based in Mylor Yacht Harbour, Falmouth, where we’re lucky to have some incredible waters on our doorstep. Within the Fal Estuary we have busy marinas, secluded anchorages, rivers, creeks and open water to explore. Through out your course we try visit as many of these areas as possible, a night at anchor in the Helford Passage with a clear sky is hard to beat but a trip the Heron Inn at Malpas after a busy day on the water is up there too! Venturing out further, Cornwall has stunning and dramatic coastlines punctuated by welcoming harbours and anchorages. We often visit; Fowey, Newlyn, the Yealm and the Isles of Scilly

The RYA cruising syllabus is laid out to offer a clear progression from total beginner to competent and independent skipper. As the courses progress in difficulty you will see more pre-requisites listed, it is important to be honest and realistic with these as you will get far more out of being on the appropriate course rather than trying to race ahead.
