Bareboat Charter – Overview

A bareboat charter gives you the ultimate freedom on the water — you hire one of Take A Turn Yachting’s well‑equipped yachts and skipper it yourself without a professional crew or fixed itinerary. This style of holiday is ideal for experienced sailors who are confident in their skills and ready to plan and operate their own sailing adventure.

With bareboat charter you choose your route and schedule, exploring harbours, anchorages, and coastal gems around Cornwall — from relaxing weekends in quiet coves to longer cruises along dramatic coastline or even towards the Isles of Scilly. Packages start from 3 days, with options for longer charters.

Flexible start dates (weekend or midweek) are offered, and briefing/pick‑up times can be chosen, including an optional evening briefing the day before departure. The yacht must be returned clean, fuelled, and ready for handover by the end of your charter period.
