Welcome to Zara

A perfect blend of performance and comfort. Zara is an excellent choice for any sailing adventure. Zara’s cockpit is thoughtfully designed, offering ample space for up to eight people. She’s also very manageable with a smaller crew, as all lines are led to the coach roof.

Under sail

Zara truly shines under sail. The boat is well-balanced yet lively. The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37’s design ensures a steady sail, but with enough spirit to keep experienced sailors engaged. This combination of stability and liveliness makes Zara such a joy to sail.

When motoring, Zara is equally impressive. Her large keel and single spade rudder take the stress out of close-quarters maneuvering, allowing you to navigate marinas and tight spaces with ease. The predictability of her handling under power is a significant advantage.

Below deck

Below deck, Zara offers comfortable accommodation for up to eight adults across three cabins and the saloon. The two double aft cabins provide cozy sleeping spaces, while the forward cabin features a private double berth.

The well-equipped galley to starboard includes everything needed for meal prep at sea, with the head conveniently located to port. A forward-facing navigation station and a U-shaped dining area provide practical and relaxing spaces for planning, dining, and socializing.

Take A Turn Yachting has two Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 yachts — Zara and Merlin — available for bareboat charter, skippered charter and RYA sailing courses in Cornwall.

Charters start at Mylor Yacht Harbour near Falmouth in Cornwall, providing excellent access to Cornwall’s waters and coastline.

A bareboat charter means you hire a fully equipped yacht and skipper it yourself with no professional crew or fixed itinerary.

You must have a qualified skipper and at least one competent crew member on board, and there must be a VHF licence holder on the yacht.

Yes. Weekend and midweek charter options are available and starting dates can be flexible.

All our boats are kept on moorings, which are available for the duration of the charter. On arrival, the boat will be brought alongside the marina for the briefing. After the briefing, you have the following options:

- Take the boat away immediately.
- Return it to the allocated mooring.
- Keep it alongside the marina (for an additional charge payable directly to the marina; this must be pre-booked).

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37 yachts accommodate up to eight people across three cabins and the saloon.

Yes, skippered charters are available and are ideal for those without qualifications, day trips, sailing holidays, long weekends or special occasions.

RYA sailing courses include Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster programmes.
